Bridgetown Community Radio --- Online
Back to Bridge FM Home

The first Question you may ask is "Why do we need Community Radio" and the answer is "communication". As a rural area we need to communicate about our own diverse issues unique to our community that are happening daily. Radio will help us to be more aware of our diversity.

Everybody has a story to share, whether it's local sports scores, social event's, local history, knowledge or skills. Our South West and Shire's future sustainablity is important to all of us and the first step is via improving communication. A civil communication centre in times of emergencey must also be realised as an essential community service.

Bridge FM will become the catalyst for accessing local media via advanced technologies. We will endeavour to promote our area, issues, events and the diversity of skills and talents while celebrating who we are as a community. Our extended family of neighbouring communities will also benefit as we are all in it together.

Local all Girl band with their friend & mentor Lil'Fi. We've had a great insight through your presence, Thanks

The communication trends of the future must be met on a local level. Radio media has become decentralised in our area and due to this our "Bush Telegraph" has diminished. Technology has made it possible for us to become self-supporting and self sustainable through improved communication advancements. So we must act as one for the future of our small community.

We have a number of individuals living in and around the area who have had radio experience either on a professional or amateur level.

We extend an invitation to any individual who would like to be involved and people with past experience who would like to participate in any way. We also invite anyone who shares our belief that communication drives communities.
