Masochistic Tango

All we can say is that you should have been there!

Our second Variety Night fun-raiser was an overwhelming success.

11 acts in all performed music, comedy, poetry and not forgetting our very own International Spoon Clacking Champion Debra Perry.

Our young performers stole the show as would be expected.

Megan Norris sang two of her own compositions and had the task of being first up which is not always easy. Megan was feeling a bit under the weather yet she just shined and set the pace for what was to come.

Emi Fitzgerald and Mim Schmidt-Hunt were accompanied by Donna Illich and then by Sarah Bultler and received great recognition for their original works.

Chook took time out from cooking pizzas to get our feet thumping and our hearts pumping as he played his National Guitar with some good slide and Harp work and original lyrics. Thanks again.

Maureen Grahame gave us a wonderful taste of her own style of folk music, her voice and style just keeps getting richer.

Gus Raynal with his stand up comedy had everyone in stitches, his Scots accent pricked up the ears and created a rich flavour.

Not Heavy Just Awkward (image below) started the night off with original music, of course nd Mike Cook had a busy night as he did all our MC'ing as well as singing for the band.

The Show was recorded in both sound and video for final mixing into an archival digital record of the night. This material will be available for viewing soon so keep checking back.

Cindy Graham a Bridgetown High Teen had a near death experience last year when she almost drowned. She read her poem about this and was accompanied by Allanah Shedley on Guitar. This took lots of courage. Good On Ya Cindy!

Chris Edmondson came over from Kojonup to perform all of his own work. He also stole a few hearts during the process.
Ruth Roberts and Rob Snelling both keen Bridgetown Repertory Theatre members gave us there rendition of the Masochistic Tango and Yes it was hilarious.

The Team at Work What a great way to promote yourself at a BridgeFM show. It just comes naturally for some while others suffer a bit of stage fright and then there's our team.

Newly revamped local band Paul Hammond and the Blues Makers finished the night off getting everyone out of their seats.

The Chook-ster between Pizzas. It's cool when you can simply walk out of your business, cross the road into the hall and give it hell.
